My passion is to: 
Teach skills to increase confidence in reading, spelling, and writing.
Set a firm foundation by filling gaps in learning. 

Bio:

• International Dyslexia Association Member
• 2015 to Present – Private tutor implementing the Barton Reading and Spelling System and Handwriting without Tears.
• 2017 to 2018 – Elementary Literacy Tutor serving with AmeriCorps in ReadingCorps providing one-on-one reading interventions to achieve grade-level proficiency.
• 2016 – Early Childhood Education degree with 290 hours of practicum including early literacy lesson plan writing, teaching, and observation. 
• 1993 to 2015 – Home educator to four children from preschool through high school graduation. Michigan Merit Curriculum graduation requirements were attained.
